How do I find scholarly (peer-reviewed) articles?

There are multiple options for locating scholarly articles: 

Option 1

Through Global Search

  1. Enter your keywords into the search box.

  2. Under Limit Your Results, check the box for Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals.

Option 2

Through the Databases A - Z list:

The library’s subject-specific and general databases also have options for selecting scholarly articles. Depending on the database, this option may be listed as scholarly or peer reviewed articles or journals and is usually found under the Advanced Search menu. Read the Advanced Search Guide for information about filtering for scholarly articles. 

Option 3

Through the Journal A - Z list: 

  • If you have the citation information for a scholarly article, you can use the Journal A - Z list to see if we subscribe to the journal. 
  • Visit the Journal A - Z FAQ for instructions about searching for journals.
